Clean Energy Storage Industry
The Space Foundation
Founded in 1983 and celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the Space Foundation is an international nonprofit organization advancing space-related endeavors to inspire, enable, and propel humanity. A leader in space awareness activities, major industry events, and educational enterprises that bring space in to the classroom, the Space Foundation conducts research and analysis and government affairs activities from its Washington, D.C., office, and has field representatives in Houston, Texas, and Cape Canaveral, Fla.
The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI)
TERI was formally established in 1974 with the purpose of tackling and dealing with the immense and acute problems that mankind is likely to be faced with in the years ahead on account of the gradual depletion of the earth’s finite energy resources which are largely non-renewable.
National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL)
Learn about NREL’s research and development of renewable fuels and electricity that advance national energy goals.
The Department of Energy (DoE) – Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability
The mission of the Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability is to lead national efforts to modernize the electric grid; enhance security and reliability of the energy infrastructure; and facilitate recovery from disruptions to energy supply.
SANDIA National Labs – Energy Storage Systems (ESS) Research Program
The Energy Storage Systems (ESS) Research Program is part of the Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability at DOE. The program is managed through Sandia National Laboratories. The goal of the ESS program is to develop advanced energy storage technologies and systems, in collaboration with industry, to increase the reliability, performance and competitiveness of electric generation, transmission and use in utility tied and off-grid systems.
California Energy Commission – Distributed Energy Resources Guide
California Energy Commission’s Distributed Energy Resources Guide is a public benefit site containing a wealth of information regarding distributed energy resources (DER). Distributed energy resources are small-scale power generation technologies (typically in the range of 3 to 10,000 kW) located close to where electricity is used (e.g., a home or business) to provide an alternative to or an enhancement of the traditional electric power system. The Electricity Storage Association
The Electricity Storage Association is a trade association established to foster development and commercialization of energy storage technologies. Our mission is “to promote the development and commercialization of competitive and reliable energy storage delivery systems for use by electricity suppliers and their customers.
